Based in Australia and recognised world wide for the manufacture and distribution of premium quality lifting equipment, PWB Anchor Limited boasts a proud history of association with prominent and successful corporations in Australia and overseas.

Originally formed from the amalgamation of the Bennett Chain Company and Pitt Waddell Pty Ltd in 1962, the merger in 1987 with Australia’s premier hoist manufacturer of the time, Anchor Engineering, saw the present day PWB Anchor Limited established in Victoria.

Operating from a 12 acre site at Bundoora, the new plant built in 1964 set new standards in industrial production. Equipped with highly specialised machines developed by US giant Columbus McKinnon, PWB Anchor set about developing new export markets in New Zealand, South East Asia, East Africa and the Pacific Islands.

PWB Anchor’s co-operative relationship with its international network of suppliers remains as strong today as in the early 60s. The ongoing exchange of industrial information ensures that PWB Anchor has ready access to the latest advances in chain technology and lifting equipment being developed within Australia and throughout the world.
