World's Greatest Shave
Apr 07, 2008
Leukaemia Foundation
World's Greatest Shave
Every hour of every day someone in Australia is diagnosed with leukaemia, lymphoma or myeloma.
Currently, more than 30,000 Australians are living with one of these cancers but only 4 out of 10 adults survive.
Annually the Leukaemia Foundation hosts the "World's Greatest Shave" to raise money to directly support patients and their families when they need it most. Participants are invited to shave or colour their hair and in turn seek sponsorship to raise money for this cause.
This year PWB Anchor's Queensland team decided to go ahead and take the plunge and attempt to raise as much as possible for the Leukaemia Foundation.
Kerry decided it was time to lose the hair and the beard and Dennis went for the PWB Anchor Blue.
It all happened on Friday 14th March and they are pleased to announce that between them they raised in excess of $1,000.00.
Kerry now looks ten years younger and Dennis will have blue hair for quite a while.
They wish to thank all of those that gave so generously to this important cause.
